A consultor or contractor Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) (PTY) LTD

  • Will behave at all times with integrity.
  • Will act with complete loyalty towards Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) and its clients when entrusted with confidential information.
  • Will act with impartiality when proposing advice and must disclose any relevant interests.
  • Will accept full responsibility for any work undertaken and will construct and deliver that which has been agreed to.
  • ill not seek personal advantage to the detriment of Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) or its Clients and will actively seek to enhance their image.
  • Will not engage in discriminatory practices in professional activities on any basis what-so ever.
  • Irrespective of conditions of employment, consultants are expected to give sound advice and honest opinions, and to help the client to a successful planned conclusion.

The following guidance in respect for consultancy work:

  • Consultants should hold themselves accountable for the advice given to client's, and should ensure that all known limitations of their work are fully disclosed, documented and explained. Consultants should not attempt to avoid the consequences of poor advice by making the language of any report incomprehensible to the layman by the use of computer and technical jargon.
  • Consultants should ensure that the client is aware of all significant contingencies and risks which could adversely affect plans and the scale of the costs which may be incurred as a result of embarking on any particular computer strategy. Where it is possible that decisions may be made as a result of a consultant’s efforts which could adversely affect the social benefits, work or career of any individual, the consultant should ensure that the clients are aware of their responsibilities to mitigate the effects of their decisions.
  • Consultants should always have regard to any factors arising during a professional assignment which might reflect adversely upon their integrity and objectivity.
  • Consultants should declare to Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) and its clients, before accepting instructions, all interests which may affect the proper performance of their functions.
  • When undertaking any consultancy work, a written agreement must be provided which clearly states the responsibilities and remuneration before undertaking the assignment.
  • Consultants should not invite any employee of Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) or its clients to consider alternative employment without prior consent.
  • Consultants will not directly or indirectly agree upon or engage in direct negotiations for employment or contracts with Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) clients without prior consent.

Service Conditions

  • Consultants will not directly or indirectly agree upon or engage in direct negotiations for employment or contracts with Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) clients without prior consent.
  • Remuneration will be dependent on the appointment and duration of the contract agreement between Future Africa Consulting and Training (FACT) and the consultant. It will be accepted that the contractor/consultant provide his/her services as an independent legal entity and as such are not subjected to the Law on Basic working conditions and or Labor relations act. Payments will be made on acceptance of payments made by the client.
  • Proficiency is based in each individual consultant within his/her area of expertise and it will be the responsibility of the contractor/consultant to sustain such knowledge and skills.
  • We firmly believe in fair and just treatment of contractors/consultants.
